The Acceleration of Trademark Registration in Indonesia
The Acceleration of Trademark Registration in Indonesia regulated by the Regulation of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia Number 12 of 2021. This regulation explain about the procedure of trademark examination that must be conducted by the trademark examiner from the Indonesian Patent Office (DGIP), pursuant to the Article 12 of (1) and Article (2) explain that if the trademark application was completed and the publication process was finished and also the is not objection from the third party, then the trademark examiner from DGIP will soon conduct the substantive examination to the trademark application for maximum 30 days.
So, with this procedure, if there is not an objection from the third party the trademark application need maximum 3 month and 15 days to be granted by DGIP.
But, if there is an objection from the third party to our trademark application, the trademark examiner from the DGIP will conduct the substantive examination to our application for maximum 90 days. (Article 12 of (2) ).
With this procedure, the trademark application need maximum 6 monthto be granted by DGIP.
